§ SIR HOWARD VINCENTI beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade, if Foreign ships in British ports are exempt from any of the regulations in force as regards British ships for the safety of life; and, if so, whether His Majesty's Government proposes to take any steps to deprive Foreign vessels of this preference in British waters.
§ MR. LLOYD-GEORGEThe question to which the hon. and gallant Member refers was dealt with by a Select Committee last Session; and a Bill is being prepared to carry into effect, among other matters, the recommendation of that Committee.
