§ MR. STRAUSI beg to ask the Prime Minister whether, owing to the action of the House of Lords in throwing out the Plural Voting Bill, which dealt solely with the representation of the people in the House of Commons, he will take steps to bring in further legislation dealing with the question of plural voting, and also the principle that the Commons 1713 should be the authority to decide how they should be elected.
§ MR. GLADSTONE (for Sir H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN)I do not think that this is the most convenient moment for making a statement on this Question though I can quite understand the motives of my hon. friend in asking it.
