O'MARATo ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will state separately the number of persons in receipt of poor relief deported from England and Scotland to Ireland during the last ten years; also, the total cost which the Irish ratepayers contributed to the support of all such deported persons in the same period.
§ (Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The Local Government Board have no records which contain the information asked for in the Question, and are of opinion that it would not be possible for clerks of unions to furnish these particulars.
