§ MR. KENDAL O'BRIEN (Tipperary, Mid.)To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he is aware of the recommendation of the Poplar Guardians, dated October last, as to the increase of the salaries of their out-door medical officers; whether this recommendation has been replied to; and, seeing that in one instance at least the work of the medical officer has been trebled during the last seven years, and that this officer is receiving, at present, less salary than was then paid, does he propose to take any action in the matter.
§ (Answered by Mr. John Burns.) The Local Government Board have before them the proposal referred to, and a communication on the subject will be sent to the guardians in the course of a few days.
