WALKER (Leicestershire, Melton)I beg to ask the Prime Minister, seeing that there will shortly be a I vacancy in the governorship of the Cape of Good Hope, and that both Parties in that Colony would appear to be in favour of the re-attachment of the High Commissionership to the governorship of the Cape of Good Hope, whether His Majesty's Government have considered the advisability of reverting to the former arrangement upon the inauguration of responsible government in the new Colonies; and, if so, whether he can make any statement on the subject.
