§ MR. ROSE (Cambridgeshire, Newmarket)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he has received any communication from the Automobile Club of Great Britain and Ireland with reference to trials they propose inaugurating for ascertaining the most effective devices, in compliance with the regulations of the Local Government Board and the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, for preventing side-slip and skidding by motor omnibuses; and whether he can see his way to appoint a representative to watch the trials in the interests of the public.
§ MR. JOHN BURNSI have received a communication to this effect, and have accepted the invitation to send an officer of the Local Government Board to watch the proceedings for testing the capacity of any devices that may be submitted for competition.
