§ MR. BUTCHER (Cambridge University)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education whether he will issue a statement explaining the principles on which the £1,000,000 to be granted under the Education Bill is to be allocated to the education authorities.
§ MR. BIRRELLI have nothing to add to the Answer I gave on this matter on 26th April and 9th July.†The latter reply also gave the reasons why we cannot at present come to any definite conclusion on the matter. I should perhaps add that the grant of £1,000,000 was made contingent upon the passing of the Government Education Bill.
