§ MR. BELLAIRS (Lynn Regis)To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the first payments of the Cunard subsidy in respect of the two new liners will fall due next financial year; and what is the anticipated amount in that and following years.
§ (Answered by Mr. Edmund Robertson.) The first payments will fall due in 1907–8, 110 and, assuming that the vessels commence their first voyages at the beginning of August and in the middle of December respectively, the amount to be paid in that year will be about £59,000. In following years the payment to be made I will be £150,000.
