§ MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that at the recent meeting of the Council of Agriculture in Dublin a resolution was carried in favour of holding a conference with reference to the proposed institution of a Government brand for cured fish; can he say when and where it is proposed to hold this conference; and will steps be taken to facilitate the attendance of representatives from the small curing stations as well as of large curing firms and others engaged in the fish trade.
MR. BRYCEI am informed that a resolution to the effect stated was passed by the Council of Agriculture. The Department of Agriculture will arrange for the holding of a series of meetings in the different curing districts in order to give persons interested an opportunity of expressing their views. 145 Due notice of the meetings will be given as soon as the dates have been fixed.
