HC Deb 04 December 1906 vol 166 c740
MR. HORNIMAN (Chelsea)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether there is any case or cases in which a member of a library committee co-opted under Section 8 (1) of the London Government Act, 1899, has been elected chairman of the said committee; and whether the Board would see any objection to such an appointment.

(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) I am not aware of any case of the kind, but I see no objection to the arrangement. I have, however, no jurisdiction in the matter.
