REESTo ask the President of the Local Government Board whether it is proposed to so amend the law as to require county and borough councils to inform overseers how much of the demand note for poor rate relates to education; and whether such changes are contemplated in regard to compounding as will enable every ratepayer to know what payment on account of rates is included in payment on account of rent.
1592 (Answered by Mr. John Burns.) Both the matters referred to in the Question appear to me to be deserving of consideration, but I do not contemplate any immediate legislation with regard to them.
