Member to the Answer I gave to a similar Question in this House on July 17th, as to the action which His Majesty's Government proposes to take in the matter, viz., first to ascertain exactly what the proposals and inclinations of the Chinese Government are, and secondly, to see whether they can in some way meet those views.
