MR. HUGH BARBIE (Londonderry, N.)I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, seeing that the additional demands upon Imperial funds caused by the proposals in the new Education Bill are estimated at £750,000 per annum, he is prepared to include in his Estimates a proportional additional grant for educational purposes in Ireland.
§ MR. ASQUITHAs the financial arrangements under the Education Bill will not come into force during this financial year, I consider it would be premature to come to any decision on the question raised by the hon. Member.
