HC Deb 27 April 1906 vol 156 c130
MR. WILLIAM ABRAHAM (Cork County, N.E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state when the Local Government Board will be in a position to issue a Provisional Order authorising the Cork Rural District Council to proceed with the scheme for the erection of labourers' cottages, concerning which scheme a Local Government Board inspector held an inquiry in October last.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) A Provisional Order authorising the rural district council to provide 231 additional cottages is being prepared by the Local Government Board, and will be issued as soon as practicable. The Board are at present awaiting the settlement by the council of certain cases in which sites can only be authorised upon the fulfilment of conditions communicated to them on March 7th.
