MACVEAGHI beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been called to the fact that the local authority in Southwark allowed a child named Campbell to lie unburied and uncoffined for sixteen days after death, and that the father was refused facilities for the burial until he had worked two days breaking stones for the guardians, although the mother was starving; and whether the Local Government Board has taken, or intends to take, any action in the matter.
