§ MR. MACVEAGHI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any complaints have lately been made by farmers in the neighbourhood of Solihull as to the cutting of the tails of their horses; and, if so, whether any effort has been made to trace the authors of these crimes.
§ MR. AKERS-DOUGLASI have made inquiry from the local police and find that the manes and tails of three horses in the neighbourhood were cut on the night of the 19th instant, and that a man was arrested on the following day and is now in custody on the charge of having committed these offences.
