§ MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will explain for what reason twenty-five extra police were drafted into the village of Coagh on the 19th instant; and will the extra charge be levied on the district.
§ MR. WALTER LONGOn this occasion a force of twenty extra police village to preserve the peace, in view of an apprehended disturbance. These police belonged to the established force of the country, and no charge, therefore, is leviable on the district.
