FFRENCH (Wexford, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have received an application for the restoration of Mrs. White, evicted tenant on the Boyce Estate, Bannow; and, if so, what progress has been made in giving back to the tenant her old home.
§ MR. WALTER LONGYes, Sir; but no proceedings for the sale of the estate have yet been instituted before the Commissioners. The application will be 94 inquired into should the estate come before them.
§ MR. FFRENCHIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that there is a planter on this holding and that at the time of the eviction there was some £1,500 or £1,600 worth of property on it belonging to the tenant? Has anything been done to recover it for the tenant.?
