§ MR. REGINALD LUCAS (Portsmouth)To ask the Secretary to the Amiralty whether it is intended to alter the conditions of service of surgeons in the Royal Navy by abolishing the present system of making appointments for twelve months only; and, if so, when details of the new scheme will be announced.
§ (Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) No change is anticipated in the present regulations, but the Question seems to be asked under a misapprehension, as appointments are not now made for twelve months only.
