BOLAND (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that none of the evicted tenants have as yet been reinstated on the Warden Estate at Sneem; can he state the reason of the delay; and can he say whether any negotiations have been opened with the Estates Commissioners for the purchase of the remaining portions of the estate.
§ MR. WALTER LONGI have no information as to the first part of the Question; no responsibility for any delay in the reinstatement of the evicted tenants can rest, however, with the landlord. The estate, which is a large and complicated one, is being dealt with by the Commissioners, but some time must elapse, I understand, before the sale can be completed.
