§ MR. BUCHANAN (Perthshire, E.)I beg to ask the Lord-Advocate what steps have been taken by the Secretary for Scotland, or are going to be taken, to carry out the Report of the Departmental Committee on the Board of Manufactures of two years ago.
MR. SCOTT DICKSONThe Secretary for Scotland has recently discussed the situation with representatives of the Town Council of Edinburgh and various bodies interested, and has the whole subject under his immediate consideration. He hopes shortly to be in a position to make an announcement on the subject.
