To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the proportion of direct to indirect taxation in the two islands of Great Britain and Ireland respectively during each of the last three years.

(Answered by Mr. Austen Chamberlain.) The proportions of direct and indirect taxation in Great Britain and Ireland respectively, including local taxation revenue and excluding coal duty, were as follows:—
