§ MR. GERALD BALFOURThe Act to which I think my hon. friend intends to refer is the Tithe Rentcharge (Rates) Act, 1899. Some corn rents are not rateable, but where a corn rent, whether converted into a rentcharge or not, is attached to a benefice and is rateable, the Act of 1899 applies.
