SIR EDGAR VINCENT (Exeter)

To ask the Secretary of State for War if he can state the Army expenditure of this country and of India in the years 1880, 1890, 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, and the Army expenditure of France, Germany, Russia, and Japan in the same years.

N.B.—It is impossible to give the actual expenditure in all cases, as in some instances it has not been published. Moreover, in some cases the Naval Budgets make provision for certain items, such as coast fortification, which are of a military nature.
