To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether Head Constable Samuel Bratton, lately appointed to the position of clerk to the petty sessions of Kildare, produced a certificate of birth on joining the Royal Irish Constabulary; and whether he will give the contents of the same, stating the place and date of birth.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) A certified extract from the parish register of Magheraculmoney, county Fermanagh, was produced, showing that Mr. Bratton was born on July 12th, 1855.
