HC Deb 05 May 1905 vol 145 c1027
MR. WILLIAM ABRAHAM (Cork County, N.E.)

To ask the Postmaster-General if he will state the amount of wages, including subsistence, usually allowed to qualified paid learners who are detached from their own offices for temporary duty elsewhere; and how long have these rates of pay been in force.

(Answered by Lord Stanley.) The inclusive rates, which have been in operation for many years, vary from 18s. to 25s. a week according to the local conditions.
