HC Deb 04 May 1905 vol 145 c926
MR. CAWLEY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been called to a notice (in the Press) that a band of cyclists have been engaged on the Brighton Road to warn cyclists travelling at an illegal speed of the presence of the police; and whether, in view of the law against illegal conspiracy, he proposes to take any steps in the matter.

MR. AKERS-DOUGLAS

This matter is entirely one for the county police, and from the newspaper cuttings with which the hon. Member has kindly furnished me, it appears that they are quite prepared to deal with it. I see no ground for any action on my part.
