§ MR. ROCHE (Galway, E.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether a portion of the Mahon Estate, Ballydonlon, county Galway, purchased by the Estates Commissioners, is to be given to a Mr. Rothwell, petty sessions clerk of Ballinasloe, who was never a tenant on the estate, and who does not live within miles of it, seeing that Mr. Rothwell is already in possession of more than one farm elsewhere.
§ MR. WALTER LONGThe purchase of this estate by the tenants was completed in April last, Mr. Rothwell was not one of the purchasers.
