§ MR. MARKSI beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Trade whether he can state what area of land around the English coast has been lost within the last fifty years by erosion, and the approximate value of such land.
§ MR. BONAR LAWI regret that the Board of Trade are unable to give even an approximate estimate of the area and value of the land which has been lost within the last fifty years by erosion around the English coast.
