§ MR. HAYDENI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the estate of Mr. Young, near Castlerea, in the county Roscommon, upon which there is a quantity of untenanted land, was offered by the owner for sale to the Estates Commissioners in May, 1904, and was inspected by an official of the Commissioners in June; and, if so, will he say whether any offer to purchase has yet been made; and, if not, will he state the cause of the delay, in view of the necessity of acquiring untenanted land in that district.
§ MR. WALTER LONGA further inspection of this estate became necessary, and is now being made. The Commissioners will consider the inspector's report, when received, with a view to making an offer to purchase.
