§ MR. LABOUCHEREI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he has observed the statement in the Report of the Comptroller - General, recently laid upon the Table of the House, in regard to the Royal Yeomanry embodied during the late South African War, that out of the total sum granted, £1,265,000, it appears that for more than one-third (£460,000) no details or vouchers were produced; and, if so, will he explain why this money was paid by the War Office without vouchers or details, and whether this is the usual practice of that office in regard to such payments.
