MAJOR SEELYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the difficulty in obtaining officers for the Militia owing to the state of uncertainty as to the future of that force, he can state when it is proposed to make a definite announcement on the subject.
§ MR. BROMLEY DAVENPORTWith regard to the organisation of the Militia I have nothing at present to add to the proposals already set forth in the Memorandum on the Estimates for 1905–06. I am not, however, aware that there is any increased deficiency in the numbers of Militia officers due to the reason alleged in the Question.
