MR. CATHCART WASONI beg to ask the Lord-Advocate if, in view of the nuisance caused by the manner in which certain whaling stations ended their operations in Shetland, the Government will introduce at an earlier date a measure providing for the regulation of these operations.
*MR. SCOTT DICKSONThe Secretary for Scotland has already introduced a Bill entitled the Whale Fisheries (Scotland) Bill, and the Local Government Board are in communication with the local authorities concerned as to the framing of by-laws to regulate the industry.
