§ Return ordered, "showing the amount payable to each of the local authorities in England and Wales who receive a share of the Annual Grant under the Agricultural Rates Act, 1896."—(Mr. Jesse Collings.)
*THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Sir A. ACLANP-HOOD, Somersetshire, Wellington),in moving the adjournment of the House, said it might be for the convenience of hon. Members if Instated that the Vote on Account would be taken as the First Order on Monday. The first Vote would be that for the Irish Land Commission, the second that for the Colonial Office, and the third that for the Local Government Board. He hoped that would suit the convenience of the House.
§ MR. T. W. RUSSELL (Tyrone, S.)said the last Report they had of the Land Commission was for 1903, and they had not yet received the Report of the Estates Commissioners for the past eighteen months. How did the right hon. Gentleman expect them to discuss the proceedings of the Land Commission if the Government persistently refused to give information to the House?
§ MR. JOHN REDMOND (Waterford)said he sympathised with the hon. Gentleman in what he said as to the necessity of accelerating the publication of the Report, but he felt bound to say that the Vote was put down for Monday after consultation with him, and, indeed, at his request.
§ Adjourned at twenty minutes before One o'clock.
