PLATT-HIGGINSI beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Trade if he will grant a Return showing in parallel columns the rates of duty in the new German tariff, as originally drafted and as finally decided, upon the articles of special interest to British trade which were enumerated in the Report [Cd. 2044] of the Advisory Committee on Commercial Intelligence, so that it may be seen what concessions, if any, have 29 been made to the representations to the German Government recommended by that Committee.
§ MR. BONAR LAWA Return relating to the new German tariff, as amended by treaties, has been laid upon the Table and will, it is hoped, be in the hands of hon. Members in the course of a few days. This will afford the hon. Member the means of obtaining the information he desires.
