§ COLONEL STOPFORD-SACKVILLE (Northamptonshire, N.)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether the term of office of Sir Edward Poynter, P.R.A., as Director of the National Gallery has been renewed since 8th May, 1904, or whether it then came to an end; whether it is in contemplation to make any changes in the conditions of the post; and whether any successor to Sir Edward Poynter, on his retirement, has been appointed.

No other appointment has yet been made. The conditions of the appointment are under consideration.
