Member for North Sligo, I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state how many extra King's scholars were admitted into De La Salla (Carysfort Park, Blackrock) during session 1904–5, owing to the £5, 000 voted out of Development Grant last year.
§ ME. ATKINSONThe certificate of this college has not been increased during the current session. Application was made by the principal of the college for an enlarged certificate, but the reports made to the Commissioners of National Education on the condition of the college by their chief inspectors were of such an unsatisfactory character as to preclude the Commissioners from recommending the application for sanction.
