HC Deb 09 March 1905 vol 142 c906
MR. SEELY (Lincoln)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been called to an advertisement of a patent whistle for motor-cars louder than a railway whistle, which can be heard half-a-mile ahead; and whether he can take any steps to prevent the use of an apparatus of that kind.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) I have not seen the advertisement referred to by my hon. friend, and I do not at present see my way to take any steps in the matter.
