WEIRI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that the sum of £E8,000 was this year stolen from the Mahmal Escort before the pilgrimage started from Abbassyeh (Cairo); will he state whether this money formed part of the sum placed at the disposal of the Mahmal Escort by the Government of Egypt for charitable gifts to the poor of Mecca and Medina; and what is the entire amount thus allocated.
