§ MR. FULLER (Wiltshire, Westbury)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether it is the intention of the Government to alter the incidence of the present grant to the Volunteer force; and, if so, whether such alteration will be extended to the Imperial Yeomanry.
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. ARNOLD-FORSTER, Belfast, W.)It is not possible to make any change in the incidence of the grant to Volunteers during the coming year, but I consider it most important that changes should be made in the directions which I have already indicated as soon as possible. The changes should allow of larger grants being paid in respect of efficient Volunteers and smaller grants in the case of those who are unable to comply with the full requirements.
