MACNAMARAI beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Education whether the Board has determined to declare any local education authority, or authorities, in default under the Local Authority (Default) Act, 1904; if so, which these authorities, if any, are, and the circumstances which have, in the opinion of the Board of Education, rendered the application of the Default Act necessary; and whether he will lay Papers containing the correspondence between the Board of Education and such 578 local authority or authorities, if any, now in default which has led the Board to the decision to apply the Default Act.
§ SIR WILLIAM ANSONThe Board of Education are in communication with more than one local education authority in respect of matters which might call for the application of the Local Authority (Default.) Act, 1904. These communications are still proceeding.
