HC Deb 07 March 1905 vol 142 c560
MR. MARTIN (Worcestershire, Droitwich)

To ask the Postmaster-General if his attention has been called to the complete wrecking of a City office caused by the fall of overhead cables, during a recent fire; and it he, will take the steps necessary to secure the public from the danger incidental to the use of collections of cables insufficiently secured.

(Answered by Lord Stanley.) The overhead cables referred to could not have been Post Office cables because the Post Office has none in the City. Wherever such cables are used by the Post Office care is taken, as far as possible, to secure the public from danger.
