§ MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state upon what grounds the Estates Commissioners have informed Mr. M. Moore, who was evicted from the estate of Lord Lansdowne, Luggacurran, Queen's County, in the year 1887, in reply to his application for reinstatement, that they cannot consider his case as that of an evicted tenant.
§ MR. ATKINSONThe Estates Commissioners inform me that an application for reinstatement was received from this man in January last. He stated he was evicted in March, 1887, from a house with a rood of ground, which he had held at a rent of £1 a year. On the facts so stated it appeared to the Commissioners that the holding was not an agricultural holding to which the Land Law Acts applied, and Moore was so informed.
