Am I to understand that the Government will be content to get Mr. Speaker out of the Chair on Monday, and to resume consideration of the Estimates in Committee at some later date?
§ MR. J. A. PEASE (Essex, Saffron Walden)And may I ask what will be the business at the morning sittings on Tuesday and Wednesday? Also what it is proposed to do on Thursday?
§ *THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Sir A. ACLAND-HOOD, Somersetshire, Wellington)The business on Monday will be to move Mr. Speaker out of the Chair on the Navy Estimates. The Secretary to the Admiralty will make his usual statement at the commencement of business. If he is fortunate enough to get the Speaker out of the Chair on Monday, Vote I. will be taken in Committee on Thursday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, as at present arranged, the main business will be the Supplementary Estimates already presented to the House.
