HC Deb 02 March 1905 vol 142 c169
MR. CAWLEY (Lancashire, Prestwich)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been directed to the remarks of the Lord Chief Justice, in trying the case Rex v. Noble at Reading on February 4th, that there should be some better means of identifying law-breaking motorists; and, if so, will he say whether he proposes to introduce legislation with that object.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) I have seen no report of the observations of the Lord Chief Justice in the case referred to beyond a short newspaper paragraph. I am not aware of any better method of identifying law-breaking motorists than that at present in force.
