HC Deb 29 June 1905 vol 148 c528
MR. MACVEAGH (Down, S.)

To ask the Lord-Advocate whether he is aware that three Members of this House representing Scotch constituencies have received letters threatening their assassination; and whether he can state what steps have been taken by the police in connection therewith.

(Answered by Mr. Scott Dickson.) I am aware that one Member of this House received a threatening letter. The letter, which was anonymous, was in Italian. The police are making inquiries, but have been unable as yet to discover the writer.
