HC Deb 29 June 1905 vol 148 c545
MR. BUCHANAN (Perthshire, E.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether the Viceroy hag unconditionally accepted the proposals contained in the Secretary of State's despatch of 31st May, or whether he has requested that certain modifications shall be made in them before he can accept them; and what is the nature and extent of these suggested modifications.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Mr. BRODRICK,) Surrey, Guildford

I have nothing to add to what I stated yesterday† on this subject.

MR. BUCHANAN

As the right hon. Gentleman cannot answer the Question now I shall repeat it next week.
