HC Deb 28 June 1905 vol 148 c379
MR. THOMAS O'DONNELL

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether arrangements have been made whereby national schools, in Irish-speaking parts of Ireland, adopting the bilingual education system will be inspected by inspectors competent to examine the children in Irish, or whether such schools will continue to be inspected by the local inspectors, irrespective of whether they are qualified to conduct the examination in both languages or not.

MR. WALTER LONG

Arrangements have been made for the inspection, by competent inspectors, of all schools in which the bilingual programme is adopted.
