The only information I have as to the number of licences granted to drivers of motor-cars is that contained in the Parliamentary Return issued last year, from which it appeared that up to April 1st, 1904,5,152 licences had been granted to drivers of motor-cycles and. 35,518 to drivers of motor-cars. The Return, however, does not specify the number of licences given to male and female drivers respectively, or the number given to professionals.
