HC Deb 27 June 1905 vol 148 c238
MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)

To ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he can state the names of the contractors whose bread was rejected on three occasions at Ballykinlar camp, county Down; the prices quoted on the tender accepted; the penalties incurred by the contractor; and the penalties exacted from him.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) The bread was only rejected in one case, not three. The firm concerned is the Bloomfield Bakery Company. The prices are confidential, and cannot be stated. The penalty enforced on the contractor was that the firm had to replace the bread rejected.
